Due to the strong demand from Dental Prosthetists who want the qualification implant retained overdentures prior to National Registration in 2010, TAFE NSW's implant courses have been filled until the end of 2008.

The NSW Board will only recognise this course if taught through a Registered RTO. In Australia these are RMIT, Southbank, Randwick and Griffith.

The RTOs in other states do not teach prosthetics.

Association and trade house courses are not recognised for implants

NSW TAFE are now taking bookings for the May 2009 (5 Saturdays) Course and the July and September (5 day) courses over one week. There is a maximum of 24 students in each course.

These courses offer 42 hours of CPD.
